Denis James Patrickson was commissioned into The Worcestershire Regiment in 1937 and served through WW2 in the 2nd Battalion Worcestershire Regiment in India and Burma.

After the war he served in various Staff and Regimental appointments until 1959 when he took command of the Mercian Brigade Depot.

He then worked as an RO (Ritired Officer) at the MOD Chessington. A fuller summary is in Firm & Forester November 1972. He made an exceptionally generous bequest to the Regiment in his will; see Regimental News.
