Hello,

Does anyone have any form of Map detailing the 3rd's Positions on the 13th April 1918, as I finally move gradually towards the end of my own research I want to detail exactly where the Battalion and more so, A |Company if I can.

I do have a copy of Stacke's work, so it would be anything beyond that.

Thanks
Lee ?/??/?

On the 13th April, 3rd Worcs were near Mont de Lille East of Bailleul and just SSW of la Creche, the neighbouring Bn on their left was the 4th Worcs.

Maps

Hello Lee,
There seems to be no one with the kind of map you want, unfortunately. I gather from what you are saying, is that Captain Stacke has a map of the area but not of the scale you need? I remember that you are tracing your relative's movements throughout the war. If it comes to it I rekon you will draw your own map from Google Earth. I was checking on the War Office Casualty Lists and also came across your G.Grandfather. You said in your earlier post that you had checked the Medal Rolls. Did he get the 1914 star? He should have got it and the Clasp and Rose as well. What exactly does it say on the War and Victory medal Roll, please? That at least should show his change of battalions.
Regards Mike.

Lee,

Sorry this took so long but I had to ask someone to find it for me.
I have loaded a map showing La Creche in May 1918 so it's accurate for your purposes.

It looks like this site has got a few problems with hosting images or displaying the links to them properly so just click on this link:
