Note:

2nd Lieut. Charles Alexander Newcome Fox (later Captain) was a 4th Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment officer who as attached to the 2nd Battalion Worcestershire Regiment as Adjutant. He was killed in action on the 25th September 1917 (age 21) by an enemy shell which it hit Battalion H.Q. at Inverness Copse (Menin Road) near Veldhoek.

Captain Russell Herbert F. Freeman (born 27/01/1894, London) was attached to the R.A.F as a pilot. He trained to fly at the Military School at Shoreham and passed on the 9th February 1916. He was awarded the Military Cross 26/01/1917 and the Croix de Guerre (French) 21/05/1917 whilist serving with the R.A.F. He died on the 21st July 1918 (age 24) at the time his rank was Major.

Note: Captain J. D. Farrar was killed in action on the 29th May 1940 (age 30) whilst firing an anti-tank rifle at enemy tanks at close range. At the time he was commanding 'D' Company, 8th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment who were at West Cappel.
